Sensory Processing/integration

Sensory processing refers to the brain's ability to receive, organize and effectively use information provided to us from all our senses: vision, hearing, taste, smell, touch, and the ability to detect movement (vestibular and proprioceptive systems). Several parts of sensory processing will be discussed as they relate to sensory integration including: registration, discrimination, modulation and ultimately sensory integration.
